Shop-from-Home Day

94 daysYou may have already begun receiving those beautiful little catalogs jam-packed with holiday trinkets, toys, decor, and anything else you might want or need for the holidays. You are hereby granted permission to do Christmas window shopping – from home!

Countdown to ChristmasThe Countdown to Christmas Challenge for today is to leaf through your holiday planner and find the gift budget you created. Scour your catalogs for ideas for the remainder of your gift-buying, while staying within the confines of your budgetary limits. If you’ve opted out of catalog mailings, then make a list of your favorite places to shop and begin to browse their websites. My favorite guide for shopping for my family is the following poem*:

Something They Want,
Something They Need,
Something to Wear,
And Something to Read.

* Available as a download in the 100 Days to Christmas 2011 eBook.  Members to ListPlanIt.com can print or download Gift List C in Holidays & Occasions as a guide for your holiday/birthday shopping.

I love to browse catalogs and order from on line. I think it really helps to stay on budget I commented on todays FB post, and I tweeted from # sharingink

I would LOVE a Kindle because my very active 2 year old likes to use everything as a step stool and decided my previous eReader would make a great step stool. Hard to read through a heel print of blank screen. I am posting on FB.

I’m going to adopt your shopping poem for this year’s gift shopping — I think it is a great guideline. I would love a Kindle for my favorite holiday/winter activity — reading. My favorite shop-from-home website is Amazon.com.

WHO WOULDNT LOVE A KINDLE?! LOL As a Stay at home mom of 2, a Kindle would be more useful than you know! Not only could I unwind in the evening with a great new book, but during the day it would help me tremendously with organization, emails, and OF COURSE preparing for this CHRISTMAS, and enjoying every second of it! LOVE this blog! Thak you so much for such an amazing idea!

I would love a kindle to give to my new Stepmother. My dad, who is 65, just married her last weekend. I gave my dad a kindle this spring for his birthday and he LOVES it. Thought that it would be good for them both to have one!

I’d love a kindle not only so I can read my books and take them with me, but for my kids to be able to read them on the go or in the car.
