Prepare to Say “Cheese!”

Day 88: Make an appointment with a photographer or choose a family photo for your Christmas cards | 100DaystoChristmas.comEveryone loves to get pictures in their Christmas cards and letters. It is perhaps the best part! To have a chance to see a family’s progression and growth is part of what makes Christmas cards so special.

Countdown to Christmas 2012 | 100DaystoChristmas.comThe Countdown to Christmas Challenge for today is to make an appointment with a photographer for your family’s Christmas portrait to be taken so that you can get the pictures back in time to send with the cards. If a professional photographer is not your style, then make an appointment on your calendar to take a family photo out in your yard or in another meaningful spot.

  1. Even if you can’t get everyone in the family together for a group photo, it is still possible to make a photo card. My sister in law couldn’t get her family together to take a single picture so she collected pictures of all the individual family members and put them onto a family Christmas Card. It was great.

  2. Great point, Amy!  In fact, I’ve used PicMonkey.com to create a collage for our family and it is so easy to do.  That would be a fun way to put a photo together for your family Christmas card.

I  still enjoy sending out christmas cards every year even though I know that less and less people seem to be doing this nowadays. My little girl is going to have her birthday just before christmas and I was thinking of putting her birthday picture on the cards this year.
In fact, I am going to visit the cologne christmas markets 2012 versions and maybe I could take some lovely pictures there to use on next year’s cards. If I plan in advance like this every year then I will always have great card to send out.
