Depending on where you live, the leaves are either sporting their lovely colors or are beginning to turn from green to red, yellow, orange, and then brown. The air is turning crisp and we spend our time outdoors wrapped in cozy sweaters.
Today’s Countdown to Christmas Challenge is to take a fall foliage foray eith
er in the car or on foot. Don’t put it off because you’ll find yourself waiting until it is past peak and all that is left are leaves to rake in the yard.

Hubs & I were just commenting on how if we don’t go soon the leaves will have all turned! Our day is pretty full today, maybe one afternoon this week! It’s still a little early to look at the pretty colors…not everything is turning here yet…still lots of green. Next weekend may be better here.
It is absolutely GORGEOUS out here. I started carrying my camera around in case I am on the road and see gorgeous leaves!! i love capturing the change even if some days we take for granted that it will happen again year after year. i LOVE the change in seasons, but fall is the best.
It has gotten a little cooler here, but we are still anxiously awaiting REAL Fall. I look forward to some leaves changing colors soon!

We are just beginning to see some fall color here. The temperatures are fluctuating wildly. We have highs in the 60′s today and the 80′s two days from now.
Thank you! I would now go on this blog every day!

I just found your site and I love it! Looking forward to getting all the ideas to make this season one to remember!!
I live in the Maritimes and spent last weekend with my sisters in Quebec. We always think of the east coast as colder with the seasons changing sooner, but I have to say, both my daughter in law and myself were amazed at how far progressed the change of colours was through New Brunswick and Quebec (we live in Halifax). But a beautiful drive, and I was so glad it was the perfect time of year to enjoy such beautiful scenery. You’re right – get out and check out the colours before it’s too late!!
I love Stonewall Kitchen. I tweeted about this and it links to my Facebook page. I subscribe to 100 days to Christmas and joined the social network community.

Oh you know it’s fall in Albuquerque, NM when the Hot Air Balloons fill the sky at the 31st International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta – and you smell the green chili’s roasting.
Hubby and I are taking a drive to view the beautiful colors tomorrow morning – alone. We’re going after Little Dude goes to school. It will be a nice “date”! We’ll even stop at a park for breakfast

Last year, during a fairly major wind-day, a friend told us about ‘the tree’ for getting wonderful fall leaves. We drove right over, but alas (& predictably) the leaves were all gone. I had completely forgotten the incident until this post! I am anxious now, to get right over TODAY to go a-leaf-gatherin’! Thank you for the lovely reminder!
Awesome write-up, really! I really love this time of the year!
Hi there, I’m starting up a website and in the middle of making somewhat varied articles for it. Would you object if I blog about this? Obviously I’ll provide you and this post due credit.
