While many of you will be up at 3:30 a.m. so you can stand in line to enter the early store opening times of Black Friday, I will be sleeping away until my usual wake time. I am usually done with my Christmas shopping by Thanksgiving, and while the pull of the deep sales is very tempting, I cannot bear to go elbow-to-elbow with so many shoppers. I do realize, however, that for many people, shopping the day after Thanksgiving is as much a part of tradition as anything else.
The Countdown to Christmas Challenge for today is to shop hard, if that is your thing. Also, take advantage
of the day and put away the remnants of your fall and Thanksgiving decor into well-marked boxes or tubs.

This is the first year I have been remotely tempted by Black Friday. However it is 10 am and I’m still in my jammies so I guess the temptation wasn’t as strong as the need for a full night’s sleep. (Got great deals online yesterday though!)

Ditto Here….. for me that is more torture than pleasure to be with the crowds of shoppers who can be rude as all get go (and doesn’t it start the season to be jolly) and I was always worried when my kiddos were little they would catch some virus being with all those people. We stay home, put Christmas music on, put up the trees, decorations, and wrapping gifts, also enjoying left overs. I accumulate Christmas gifts throughout the year, so there are a few gifts during December I have to purchase and I’m done. To those of you up at 3 AM to power shop – I send my blessings.
Black Friday shopping is so not for me! I am a little behind in my shopping this year, but know exactly what is left to get…so I’ll hopefully wrap that up this week, just not when everyone else is doing it. But I really hate going out on Black Friday…so I do a Silpada party in my home for those who don’t want to shop out either! Everyone really enjoys staying in and shopping at the same time!
Thanksgiving is put away, and Christmas is on its way in!
We’ve been busy this weekend, but are happy to not have to shop today as we are done with our Christmas shopping! Staying on track – hope all of you are too!
