I know we are going to do a cookie exchange, so know I will do peanut butter blossums and probably a collasal cookie. But there are these cranberry hootycake cookies that I had last year that were divine. I may include those too! Much to plan, much to plan!

I usually make English Toffee and bake bar cookies, but I am debating this year - I have worked really hard to lose weight since April gone from a size 12 to a size 4 and the thought of candy and cookies in the house is like sabotaging all my hard work, not to mention the sampling that goes on while making the candy and cookies.......

I have decided on a few standbys that we use every year. I have stocked up on a few of my baking items. I have extra butter in the freezer and I stocked up on flavor extracts. I try to add things to my weekly shopping to absorb extra costs and stay on my budget. Works very well!!! My first baking and freezing day is Dec. 5th. I will do candy the next week.

You are so right; this is definitely one for the calendar! I ALWAYS say if it isn't written on the calendar it won't get done. That is especially true at such a busy time of year!
