When cleaning, the most efficient method is from top to bottom. That way, any particles that float down will be not landing on a clean surface. So, without further adieu, today’s cleaning assignment is DUSTING!
The Countdown to Christmas Challenge for today is to dust (or vacuum) ceiling and window corn
ers and then to dust all furniture, knick knacks, and shelves. This would make a GREAT afterschool activity for the kids as well. Give them some socks to cover their hands, a little dusting spray, and some instructions. All you then would need to do is to follow up.
One of my favorite things about the holidays is the music! I love bringing out my old Christmas CDs, but I always buy a new CD each year. Here is a list of CDs I would like for this year.
1. What A Night! A Christmas Album by Harry Connick, Jr.(2008)
2. Noel by Josh Groban (2007)
3. A Swingin’ Christmas by Tony Bennett (2008)
4. The Christmas Collection by Amy Grant (2008)
5. White Christmas by Matt Belsante (2008)
6. Let It Snow by Michael Buble (2007)
7. And Winter Came by Enya (2008)
8. A Winter Symphony by Sarah Brightman (2008)
9. Songs of Joy & Peace by Cristina Pato, Nilson Matta, Robert Leslie III Hurst, Matt Brubeck, and Yo-Yo Ma (2008)
10. The Hotel Cafe Presents…Winter Songs by Various Artists (2008)

Dusting…I hate dusting…but you’ve given good guidance and direction these past 60+ days so I’m gonna stay on task at this point. I’ll dust when the kids get home this afternoon.
I hope to get to dusting later today but earlier today I’m scrubbing and reorganizing the kitchen.

If I must dust I will…but definitely could use the music to help the process along a little! I am a subscriber to the newsletter already.
I just dusted the living room yesterday but I’ll certainly carry it through with the rest of the house today!
I LOVE to listen to Christmas music as I put up my Christmas decorations or do anything Christmas related. Music is one of my favorite parts of Christmas! I love it so much that I could listen to it year round. It would be FANTASTIC to add one of these CDs to my Christmas music collection. Since I don’t remember last Christmas because I was suffering from the effects of my stroke, I don’t remember getting to listen to this kind of beautiful music last year. This makes this year’s listening, the fact that I am alive and can listen, and the ability to remember listening, such a wonderful thing to celebrate and be thankful for!

I am cleaning this week in preparation for having a cleaning person come next week.
I am getting into the nooks and crannies as I dust, etc. I know that when others clean it is never “as I would do it” but at least it gives me a week off. I actually got the dusting and most of the vacuuming done. The vents, and ceiling fans are always such a pain to do. Thanks for today’s reminder, Jennifer. I’m so glad they are done for the month now!

Ugh… dusting. My least favorite cleaning chore. But once started it won’t take long, so I’ll just get it over with today. That seems like a good plan!

[...] Dusting is the challenge for Day 38. I don’t dust enough…the writing in the dust on the tv cabinet is proof of that! LOL [...]
