Everyone loves to get pictures in their Christmas cards and letters. It is perhaps the best part! To have a chance to see a family’s progression and growth is part of what makes holidays so special.
The Countdown to Christmas Challenge for today is to make an appointment fo
r your family’s Christmas portrait to be taken so that you can get the pictures back in time to send in cards. If that is not your style, then make an appointment on your calendar to take a family photo out in your yard or in another meaningful spot.

Oh, the joys of being an amateur photographer! I remember the stress of Christmas pictures. This year, I want to wait until it’s snowed to get the pictures. I think I’ll skip putting them in the cards, though. There aren’t many people on our list that we don’t see regularly.
As per your request, my daily submission into the contest is that I’ve joined the community. You can’t miss me. I think I’ve blown the dang place up with comments!
Will sunny weather here I am thinking hard about the photo for this year. I am thinking that I will try and make it a fun one. Put this one on my to do list.

How funny you should put this up as today’s activity! My kids are having their annual formal portraits done today at 4pm!!!! Been scheduled since September! And I was planning on snapping a dozen or so of my own before we go to hopefully get that great shot for the annual Christmas card! For once, I’m ahead! Yeah!
I always forget about Christmas pictures until it is too late – so a timely reminder
I might do the ‘pets’ this year for the cards I think
This is one of those holiday traditions that I LOVE with my family… and my husband hates! LOL Some years we do the entire family in portraits. Other years we only do pictures of our little guy. Whichever way it goes, family and friends DO enjoy getting pictures in their cards!
