You don’t even have to have Christmas cards yet in order to make a list of the friends and family to whom you would like to send holiday wishes. My family has lived in Kansas, Tulsa, Poland, New Orleans, Connecticut, Oklahoma City, and now Maine and I have collected friends all along the way. Christmas cards are often my one opportunity to stay in touch.
Today’s Countdown to Christmas Challenge is to print out a Cards
to Send list from ListPlanIt.com or create your own, and begin to list everyone to whom you think you might like to send a card. You can always pare down the list later, if it is too overwhelming. This way you have a general idea how many cards you need to buy/make. Then be sure to add these pages to your Christmas planner!

I am so glad I found this blog! I can try to keep Christmas a little more organized this year in the midst of serious family matters.
I already have a Christmas/Birthday spreadsheet, but I need to keep it updated and work on it some more~~
The other good thing about starting now when it seems FAR away is that you can really spend time writing them and making them meaningful rather than in a rush signing, stamping, sending….
That said, I also send New Year cards to some on my list. Those that are too busy to really enjoy a card or letter during the hustle and bustle of a frenetic
season enjoy getting something during that time of year when it’s a bit of a let down and MUCH ore quiet.
I enjoy attaching personal notes to the cards as well. If not, then what’s the point? I am just sending an autograph otherwise. Making a list of recipients ahead of time is a great way to start the process. Not only do you keep from over buying cards you won’t be stuck trying to find cards you like last minute. Remember the list can always be changed… expanded or decreased; it is not set in stone. Thanks for the template! I’m enjoying this series! @juliebavi

Yes! Done and done! I’m waiting on a few addresses to be updated, but I think I’ve got my list together.
I am still trying to figure out what type cards I am going to send, but this was kind of neat to get us thinking about where all we have family and friends and who all we would send cards to this year. It seems every year our card list grows a little bit bigger.

Love pumpkins!!!
I’ve been using the same Christmas card list for years, ever since I left England and moved to the US. And like someone mentioned yesterday, if someone hasn’t reciprocated in two years or so, they get dropped from my list.
Today I will print out my list again to put in my planner
I shared on Twitter @carlastamps.
I also selected my photo and cardstock and accessories to begin assembling my own cards. This year I REALLY will be done early
Done… or it’s been done years ago. I have a running label document saved on the computer. For some I do just send a card as a “thinking of you” jester, with others I include a “year in review” on paper with pictures and all – I make it look fun, adding Christmas clip art and frames around the pics, then head off to Kinko’s and get handful printed up in color. We get our Christmas cards at Costco as soon as the holiday items go out or the selection is gone. Hubs – sends cards to his clients and it is always remembered. Our cards go out the day after Thanksgiving.
MMm… Yankee candles – the best!

Cool site. A friend had this on her facebook page so I subscribed.
I have a master list, but I think I need to par down. The fact that there are only 100 spots will help me to do that!
Thank you much!!!
I just got back from seeing the movie Julie and Julia. and it made me think of you! Thank you for making my Christmas easier. I am telling all my friends about you : )
I am off to look at my stash on the computer to see what I can use to make my cards. This year I might just even put a little newsletter inside.
