My children were raised on Poe! I’m a huge Poe fan, so we’ve had quite a bit of his stories and poems flying around here this fall! I absolutely love this challenge. If you’re not big on reading his style, I’ll bet you can find some of the old Vincent Price! I loved him in The Black Cat with Peter Lorre! You can watch that bit here:

Gah!! Love this challenge!!!
*cough* His writing style… I was too excited to type coherently.
I had a film studies class and the instructor used the Vince Price “Poe” movies for us to study. The Raven and Tell Tale Heart. Both are great movies in story, style, technique.
We/re going a different direction for Halloween. That’s NaNoWriMo
kick-off night, so we’ll either be watching Alex and Emma or Stranger Than Fiction.
Terri- I write for NaNoWriMo too! I was the ML for my city until this year, when we bought a house and my ability to volunteer disappeared.
Well, as much as I love Poe, the kiddos dont so… I got out the Halloween videos. We have watched Hocus Pocus and Corpse Bride so far this week. Tomorrow night we are doing Nightmare Before Christmas and Casper if we can stay awake that long.
Debra Smith´s last blog ..A Great Math Tool For Kids
We have got to find the Great Pumpkin for Saturday!!!! The library is probably out…maybe I’ll just break down and buy it!
