I love buying stocking goodies. Instead of filling my son’s stocking with “junk” trinkets that will get tossed (or lost) within two days, I like to fill it up with items he’ll actually use. Like a fun toothbrush, kids lotion, small notebooks & pencils, etc.

I think my favorite thing about Christmas are the stockings! I try not to load them up with candy, but instead homemade treats. I love to use travel sized hand lotions, hair accessories, fish hooks, $5 gift cards, small books, stickers, scrapbooking supplies, paints & brushes, I could go on & on. But I won’t.

I’m all about the stockings around here, too…anyone have a great source for a themed set of stocking hangers with 5 pieces? We had a train set with 4 but since adding the baby last year have not been able to find a set to hold 5.

I have been stocking up on stuffers since the beginning of the summer.
Already got my 15 yo some very cool stuff for his stocking & the other boys have things too.
Now to work on dh’s stocking.

We love stockings. For us that is all that Santa brings. The big presents are from us – we work hard to earn the money for them to get something big/nice/new/special and why should Santa get the credit for it.

So last year we decided that Santa only fills our stockings – which means we have be careful not to buy anything for the stockings when the kids are around.

I love stockings. At my house, everybody has a stocking, no matter their age. It’s always a challenge to fill the adult men’s stockings, because the usual suggestions don’t apply. They don’t hunt or fish or play golf or have a favorite team they’re rabid about. My dh is the hardest, I think.
