Great thoughts on meal planning ahead of time! I also like to “delegate dishes”. Letting others make their favorites frees up the host AND makes others feel like they are more a part of the celebration.

My husband and I are alone for thanksgiving this year so I will do a nice mix of his favorites and my favorites. I am still debating whether to do a small turkey or a turkey breast. His mom makes a nice cheesy potato dish that I might try as my ‘introduction dish’ this year.

Yes, it is a great idea to plan ahead! I am on a very limited diet right now so it is even more important if I want to eat something delicious that day!
