Thanksgiving is just 30 days from today! And although Halloween is not yet here, it is a good idea to start thinking now about what recipes have worked for your Thanksgiving dinners in the past and what recipes are so a part of your tradition that you wouldn’t think of having Thanksgiving without them.
Today’s Countdown to Christmas Challenge is to start looking through your recipes to locate favorites
and keep them together in a convenient spot. If you have a copier at home, copy several of your favorite holiday recipes onto a few pages, then add these to your Christmas planner under a new tabbed divider called Thanksgiving. Then replace your recipes back to their original location for safe-keeping.
Members to ListPlanIt will find everything they need – from menu planners to grocery lists – to begin to plan their Thanksgiving menus in Holidays & Occasions.
Congratulations to the winner of the L.L. Bean $50 Gift Card (drum roll, please)

What a great idea – Here in Canada we have more than 2 months between our holidays. But I think I’m going to do this anyways. Thanks
Great idea – since April I have lost 27 pounds and Hubs 40 and we talking this weekend, saying that this Thanksgiving isn’t going to be a food-a-thon as in years past. I wanted to find healthier recipes for our holidays this year with more mindful planning and keep the momentum going.
posted on my facebook profile, but not sure how to link back to here.
Love the bags!
This is a great idea! I reuse paper gift bags but they don’t last very long from year to year as fabric gift bags would.
First off, please don’t put my name in the virtual hat, for obvious reasons
Secondly, I want to encourage the eventual winner to register the sacks on our Track-a-sack feature at Wrapsacks.com
Over 18,000 journeys are being logged with some gift bags traveling tens of thousands of miles.
Thanks so much for helping to spread the word about our alternative to disposable gift wrap
What would Thanksgiving be without green bean casserole! I don’t think we ever really do anything extravegant. Every time I’ve tried to add something, no one wants it. All the want is turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy! But I’ve been adding mashed cauliflower to my mashed potatoes for about a month now and no one has noticed! So that will change this year! And they will be none the wiser!
Shhhh, don’t tell my secret!
