In my house, presents are not placed under the tree until Christmas Eve. I fill the empty space with a new stuffed Christmas creature each year and some empty decorative storage boxes. I was tired of my children picking up the wrapped packages and asking me how many days until they could open them. That does not mean that I don’t wrap as early as possible. Once they are covered by paper, I can relax a little more.
Today’s Countdown to Christmas Challenge is to lock yourself in a bedroom or private space and get as much
wrapping done as possible. For some added fun, call some of the girls over and make it a Gift Wrap Party! Some can wrap and some can accessorize. Be sure to label each present.
This week’s drawing is for 3 lucky winners to win 1 of 3 of ListPlanIt‘s ePlanners: Personal ePlanner (perfect for personal goal-setting in the New Year), Planner ePlanner (lots of time management pages to get yourself organized), and Home ePlanner (for motivation to get those home projects done this winter). I love involving others in regular parts of this season! What a great way to build relationships and be productive at the same time.

I love wrapping Christmas gifts – I use a low temp glue gun to attach the pine cones, berries and other toppings – I buy the picks on sale at Hobby Lobby. I also use bows I make with my Bow Maker and wire edged ribbon. I stock up at Hobby Lobby when the wire edged ribbon and picks are 70% off. The bottom of our tree used to look like a Martha Stewart explosion, now they are grown and out of the house, they all want money. I still pick up a few trinkets just to wrap and I decorate the envelope the card and money are in.
I just had one of those parties last Saturday. We had a blast and now all of my presents are wrapped!
I so so need to get on the ball with my wrapping. I do not want to be wrapping next week. I’d love to have a wrapping party but don’t think I can fit it in to my life. But boy would it make the time fly!

I already subscribe.
I really need to find some time to finish the shopping and then get to moving on the wrapping. I haven’t even finished decorating the inside of the house. UGH
I am with you on this one. My husband finally got it through my head that they were peeking. Plus how can Santa come if the gifts are under the tree? So now I wrap as I go and put them in a locked room in the basement. I just put the bows on on Christmas even when we bring them up. I wish I would have done it earlier.
